Innovation transcends borders, breaks paradigms and offers great opportunities to improve the quality of life of human beings, which is why Universidad Panamericana has created the UP Innovation Awards to recognize, select and reward new products and/or services that will benefit humanity. With the support of companies leaders in their field, we seek to facilitate and consolidate the marketing of the winning projects.

This call is open to all entrepreneurs, researchers in Mexico or abroad, and to SMEs from the community in general, who are working in any of the eigth thematic areas and who are within the three award categories.

UP Innovation Awards is offering prizes in seven different thematic areas for projects fitting into three distinct categories.

Validated idea: if you have a business idea that you are validating in terms of its acceptance in the market.
Functional prototype: if you have a product or service prototype, but it is difficult to develop it due to its complexity or simply due to lack of resources.
Traction in the market: when your venture is underway and you are already using it.

How can I participate?

It is very simple! Universidad Panamericana shares with you the 2023 call for
participation to check if your project meets the requirements. Follow these steps:

1. Locate your category

– Validated idea
– Functional prototype
– Market traction

2. Register your project

Click on the Register button and
start the process. Don’t forget to upload
your video and presentation!

3. Your project will be evaluated

We will confirm that your project meets
the requirements and criteria.
Check frequently
in case you need to correct observations!

4. Publication of winners

Wait for the results to see if your project is among the finalists.

Perfect your pitch and attend the Great Event where
the Winner will be announced by category.

1st place awards.- to the thematic area of Creative Industries

$ 50,000.00 MXN in cash
First place in the Creative Industries thematic area will be recipient of the OMG Special Award for Creativity.
In the event that, the first place of Creative Industries is also a winner in one of the 3 categories, the prize it will be cumulative.

Note: Prizes may be subject to change without prior notice.

About the Scholarships:

27 Scholarships in total (9 scholarships per category, 3 scholarships for first, second and third place respectively).
In case of not exercising the scholarship in the following semester, it will be lost.
Maximum 3 scholarships per winning startup.
Non-transferable and valid on the Guadalajara, Aguascalientes, CDMX campuses.
Applies at the University or Graduate level, the scholarship cannot be exchanged for money.
If the winner is a current UP student, the scholarship applies for the following semester.
In the event that the winner lives in a city outside the UP campus, it is the responsibility of the interested party to cover the necessary expenses to exercise the scholarship, the expenses are borne by the entrepreneur.
